Rosemary L. Ripley

Managing Director

Rosemary L. Ripley is a Managing Director of NGEN.   Rosemary spends much of her time at NGEN on companies utilizing information technologies to create energy savings and efficiencies as well as companies in the consumer health and wellness sectors.  She currently sits on the Boards of MokaFive, Nlyte and Zevia.

Rosemary’s background includes considerable work in the consumer packaged goods and technology industries as well as strategic planning, acquisitions and public and private market transactions. Responsible for Corporate Business Development worldwide at Altria Group (previously Philip Morris Companies) from 1990-2005. Rosemary helped spearhead and execute numerous expansionary growth plans for the operating companies. She led teams that invested heavily in Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America and Asia and transformed Kraft Foods with the $19 billion acquisition of Nabisco and subsequent $8.5 billion initial public offering. Rosemary also initiated and helped develop the strategy and led the transformation of Miller Brewing Company from a domestic business to part of an international enterprise with the merger with South African Breweries.

Prior to joining Altria, Rosemary was a Managing Director at Furman Selz, responsible for the Retail and Consumer Group, and prior to that was a senior investment banker at L.F. Rothschild, Unterberg, Towbin where she financed numerous small and mid-size technology companies and worked on the firm’s venture investments. Previously, she worked for Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan where she supported the Senator’s work on the Committee for Environment and Public Works.

Rosemary co-founded Circle Financial Group, a multi-family office, and sits on the Advisory Board of the Yale Center for Business and the Environment. Ms. Ripley received both her BA, cum laude, and MBA at Yale University.
